Molded
Longwood has one of the widest breadths of molding capabilities in the industry today. Whether your part is 2 grams or 1000 pounds, LONGWOOD has the process to meet your needs. Process capabilities include horizontal, vertical, and the proprietary Orcomatic compression molding system.
 | | Compression & Transfer Molding | | | Compression & Transfer Molding Compression molding processes used by LONGWOOD range from simple to highly integrated transfer shuttle systems. One of the benefits of compression molding is that the tooling costs tend to be lower than competing technology. Compression is also more versatile for larger parts, providing easy access for inserts and fabric reinforcement. Scrap can also be minimized in this process by using pre-formed rubber slugs.
 | | Injection Molding | | | Injection Molding LONGWOOD's experience has shown injection to be highly efficient for small high volume parts. Not only does it produce high quality parts, but it's also cost-effective. Our specially designed automated equipment further enhances productivity, economy, and consistent quality. The use of several cold runner configurations allows for a true parting line, as well as top and bottom injection. - Flashless Capabilities

 | | Orcomatic | | | Orcomatic LONGWOOD's proprietary high-speed single or multi cavity Orcomatic compression molding system produces custom manufactured components with little waste and high quantity output. The Orcomatic process allows for control of temperature, pressure, cure time, and mold loading. The result is a mold and part registation unequaled by any other molding technology. This factor consistently remains unchanged during the useful life of your tooling.
