Quality Control

We build LONGWOOD Quality into all our products-from initial design through manufacturing. As we design part shape, we consider quality and economy. Our Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) groups, comprised of representatives from all disciplines, meet to engineer both product and process. All aspects of the part's design and manufacture are scrutinized to ensure that important criteria and appropriate quality systems have been established.

Our quality system typically extends beyond basic dimensional measurements. For many applications we have special test equipment that simulates the end application. For instance, we test dynamic response and cycle life of brake diaphragms. We also cycle test railroad brake parts, faucet seals, exhaust hangers, shock components, and much more.

In support of the demanding, highly technical markets we serve, many Longwood facilities are registered to the ISO-9000 series and are QS-9000 compliant.
