Quality Control

From initial design through manufacture, Longwood builds quality into every part. Our Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) groups, representing all pertinent disciplines, meet to engineer both product and process. Every aspect of the design and manufacturing process is scrutinized to ensure that important criteria are met and quality systems are established.

Our quality system typically extends beyond basic dimensional measurements. For many applications we have special test equipment that simulates the end application. For instance, we test dynamic response and cycle life of brake diaphragms. We also cycle test railroad brake parts, faucet seals, exhaust hangers, shock components, and much more.

In support of the demanding, highly technical markets we serve, many Longwood facilities are registered to the ISO-9000 series and are TS 16949 certified.
